Stripe processing is an estimate. Payments run on Stripe, and Stripe's card fee — typically around 2.9% + 30¢ — comes out of your payout. It varies by country and card type, so your actual figure will differ.What's fixed: no subscription and no cut of your rate. Our fee is 10¢ for every minute of a call, and in a month you're paid, Stripe's $2 account fee and its payout fee (0.25% + 25¢ a payout) come off your payouts. If you're paid outside the US, Stripe's cross-border payout fee comes off your payouts too, and unless your bank account is in US dollars, Stripe converts each payout into your bank's currency and takes its currency conversion fee from what you receive. Refunds, and Stripe's fees if a client disputes a payment, come out of your payouts too: the whole refund, even the part that was our fee and Stripe's card fee. If a dispute is lost, the disputed amount comes out the same way; if Stripe later reverses it, we give that back. When what a call brings in doesn't cover our fee and Stripe's card fee, for example a call under Stripe's 50¢ minimum or one cut short, the rest comes off your later payouts too. If you end a call or remove a client because someone under 18 is taking part, or report it after the call, your client pays nothing and you aren't paid for their part of the call; our fee for their minutes and any card fee on their payment come off your payouts. We pay instead only when our records show our own system got it wrong, such as a payment taken twice, a refund we owed that was more than a day late when the payment was disputed, or a refund to fix our own mistake.

How much does it cost?

Do I need credentials or a big following?
No. MinuteTalk doesn't gate on certificates or follower counts — chat, lived experience, hobbies, and informal teaching are all welcome. Our Acceptable Use Policy and active moderation define the boundaries instead.
Can I publish my page before setting up payouts?
Yes. Once your page passes our check you can share and embed it before setting up Stripe. Booking buttons stay visible but turned off until payouts are ready, then they switch on by themselves.
How does embedding work?
Once your page is public, open Booking widget in your dashboard, style it and copy the code. Add the websites you'll use it on, paste the code into your site, and the widget shows right there.
Who can join?
Creators 18 or older who agree to the Acceptable Use Policy. For now, creator pages and payouts are open to people in the US, Canada, the UK, Gibraltar, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein and every EU country. Sexual or adult content and regulated professional advice (medical, legal, financial) aren't allowed.
Is it safe to offer this publicly?
Every profile and service is checked against our content rules before anyone can see it. Our AI check handles most in seconds, and a person looks at anything unclear. Everyone on MinuteTalk has agreed to the same rules and confirmed they're 18 or older, and accounts that break them are suspended.
